Frequently Asked Questions
What to bring
To make the most of your session, please bring swimwear or clothing that is comfortable for the sauna and ice bath. A towel is essential for your comfort, and a water bottle helps you stay hydrated—although we’ll provide a complimentary bottle of water with electrolytes for you.
How long are the sessions?
Our standard sessions are 60 minutes. This gives you ample time to move between the heat and cold at your own pace.
How is it different to a communal sauna/ice bath?
Unlike communal sauna and ice bath facilities, our sessions at Celsius Contrast are private and exclusively reserved for you. You can relax, unwind, and manage your heat and cold cycles at your own pace, without ever feeling rushed or having to wait.
We maintain a 15 minute gap between every client to make sure the area is clean when you arrive.
How will I know the temperature of the sauna and ice bath?
Both the sauna and ice bath have thermometers.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely. Contrast therapy is a great experience to share. When booking, you can select a session for 1,2,3 or 4 people.
For group bookings, the total is paid via the primary booker’s Fresha account.
Safety & Suitability
At Celsius Contrast, your safety is our priority. While contrast therapy offers incredible benefits for most, the rapid shift between extreme heat and cold puts a unique demand on your cardiovascular system.
We recommend consulting with a medical professional before your visit if you have a history of medical conditions and you are unsure if sauna and ice bath experience is suitable for you.
If you feel lightheaded or unwell at any point during your session, please step out immediately and listen to your body.
To be on the cautious side, if this is your first time experiencing a sauna and ice bath we recommend booking a double pass with a friend.
How is the ice bath water kept clean?
Hygiene is our absolute priority. Our ice bath uses a dual stage filtration system. This includes a particle water filter and an Ozone (O3) filtration system, which is a natural oxidiser that neutralisers bacteria and viruses on contact.
We also keep a 15 minute sanitisation gap between every appointment to ensure the water is pristine for your arrival.
Should I shower before I arrive?
Yes. To maintain our high hygiene standards. We ask all clients to arrive showered.
Our on-site shower is for washing off sweat between the sauna and the ice bath.
